SCADA – PLC modbus communication

Dual SIM card support increases the reliability of the router and provides a solution for those applications where failure of one mobile network must not result in system downtime. Reputation. Reputation is very closely related to the reliability of services. The more reliable a service is the more likely is to have a favorable reputation.
 
Customer Satisfaction. While a reliable service may not dramatically affect customer satisfaction in a positive manner, an unreliable product will negatively affect customer satisfaction severely. Thus high reliability is a mandatory requirement for customer satisfaction.

Solution
 
In the world of vast security challenges the ability to cover every location with video surveillance (CCTV) is of high importance. For such mission video surveillance systems mostly utilize IP-based cameras. Cellular network is used for communication to decrease costs and to utilize remote monitoring flexibility.
 
Mobile providers are constantly launching faster 3G/4G mobile broadband technologies for communication services. There is a simple way to connect video surveillance systems to new high-speed 3G/4G cellular data networks. The convergence of these trends is rapidly expanding the number of situations where video security applications can be deployed quickly and effectively.
 
Configuration example
 
In the following scenario Geneko GWR402 cellular router is exploited in high available system where dual SIM option is used. With LTE network the effective throughput is on much higher level and it corresponds to high-definition demands. Video camera can be connected by wire over Ethernet interface or using WiFi. GWR402 is used as access point which collects wireless client and provide internet access. This provides flexible implementation which customer can easily modify according to specific requirements.
 
 
On the other hand reliability is achieved with two SIM cards where one overtakes PPP connection from the other in case of need. SIM cards cannot be connected at the same time; second SIM card provides only back-up link in the case first SIM card drops the connection.
 
Following picture shows system with one central location with HQ router and several remote locations with GWR402 routers. Communication between local and remote LAN is conducted through LTE network.
 
Central location can communicate with multiple remote locations. Every location can be configured in similar way. DVR Server, which collects data from video cameras, is located at the central location inside DMZ zone of HQ router.
